On Saturday, December 11 four students competed at Levelland High School in the ATSSB All-Region Honor Band auditions. Ethan Jimenez placed first chair in Contra Alto Clarinet and Kimberlee Ramirez placed first chair in Alto Clarinet. Both will advance to Area Honor Band auditions on January 8, with the chance to make it to the prestigious All-State Band in San Antonio, TX. Devin Reyes and Lailah Burks were only spots away from making the band in percussion, the most competitive section at the contest. We are extremely proud of their work. Floydada did extremely well at this highly competitive event. Go Whirlwinds!!!
