Solo & Ensemble
On Saturday, February 22, 2020, six members of the Floydada High School Wind Symphony traveled to Coronado High School in Lubbock, TX to compete in the regional Solo & Ensemble compeition. The Flute Quartet, consisting of Holley Monroe, Jody Briones, Anyssa Sanchez, and Alex De Los Santos, earned a Division 1 rating on their Class 2 ensemble; Devin Reyes earned a Division 2 on his memorized Class 1 solo for Marimba; Holley Monore earned a Division 1 on her Class 1 solo for Flute and Piano; and Jacob Johnston earned a Division 1 on his memorized Class 1 solo for Contra-Alto Clarinet and Piano. Jacob will attend State Solo & Ensemble Competition in Pflugerville, TX on May 30 – June 1, 2020.
